As declared through Presidential Proclamation No. 358, s. 2003, the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) leads the annual observance of Depositor Protection and Awareness Week (DPAW) from 16 to 22 June of every year. The annual observance aims to complement the government’s thrust of sustaining economic growth by further strengthening public confidence in the Philippine banking system.
